"Mycelium Cooperative" is a metaphor of the growth and changes involved in creating Regenerative Learning Ecologies. The "roots" of a mushroom also called Mycellium and Mycorhizae, are known in pop cultures as the communictation network underground. They literally help trees and other plants communicate and share resources undeground. Mycelium grow through different stages: spore germination, hyphal growth, and mycelial colonization, eventually leading to the formation of a fruiting body (the mushroom we see). These stages involve the mycelium absorbing nutrients and spreading to interact with a new substrate.

The Grassland Garden School is only one fruiting body of many collaborative partnerships that are still emerging, that include an outdoor nature-based preschool, AND ALSO include programming for multi-generational and multilingual family systems.  These mycelium connections are note visible yet but will be working towards the vision of a multi-generational regenerative living community from age 0 to 99+ who knows what we may be able to create together.

Welcome, Dia dhuit, É-peve-éšeeva, Nii’óókoh’uusini, Kia ora, Buenos dias to the Grassland Garden School

(a project of Mycellium Cooperative)

Here individual flourishing and collective healing converge to cultivate regenerative learning ecologies for all ages, fostering multi-generational and multilingual connections. Our flexible, mixed-age programs include:

*Outdoor Nature Based (ONB) Preschool (Ages 3-6);
*Forest School Sessions (Ages 5-14);
*Wild Crafting and Survival Workshops (Adult and late teens);
*Inter-generational Programming with Senior Living Elders (ages 0-99+);
*Overnight wilderness rights of passage (Teen and Adult separate).

We offer opportunities to connect, learn, and grow in every season with our mixed age programs.

TESTIMONIALS

What people involved in creating this Regenerative Learning Ecology are saying

Trees and water to reresent connection to the non-human world

My child absolutely loves attending Feileacan Nature School Cooperative. The nature-based approach to learning has sparked a deep curiosity and love for the environment in my child.
